Micras Super Rugby
Season 2018

Competition format

The 18 participating Micras Super Rugby franchises are divided into three geographical conferences: The Central and South Conference (Consisting of the 7 Florian teams and Etourney Cyclones), The Eastern Conference (consisting of four Mercurian teams and Hoenn Dragons) and the Western Conference (consisting of four Senyan clubs and Jingdao Sunwolves).

Teams will play each other at home and away during the regular season. Due to Eastern and Western conferences only having five teams, the teams in these conferences will play intercontinental rounds against each other.

The top team in each of the three conferences will qualify for the quarterfinals, as do the next five teams with the best records across the three conferences (wildcards). The conference winners and best wildcard team will host the quarterfinals. The quarterfinal winners will progress to the semifinal, and the winners of the semifinals will progress to the grand final.
