The 1676 Normark status referendum referred to the two-question referendum in Normark on 19.III.1669 which first asked voters whether they were of the opinion that the constitutional status of Normark should be changed (i.e. remain or not remain in Natopia), and, secondly, if there were to be a change of the constitutional status, whether Normark should be an independent state or reunify with Elwynn. In the end, the voters voted to both change the constitutional status of Normark as well as to reunify in Elwynn.

Aftermath

The Free Juice and Bagels Party opposed the certification of the results on the premise that the questions were verbose and confusing. All other parties, including the Normark Independence Party, vowed to respect the results of the referendum, stating that the campaign period allowed for all voters to understand both questions fully and clearly.

The Prime Minister of Normark, Aud Laaland, met with Queen's Executor Prince Aldin and Emperor Nathan II immediately after the referendum results were certified, asking for the negotiation of a treaty of transfer of Normark from Natopia to Elwynn at the earliest opportunity. In a speech to the Norse nation, Laaland vowed to secure the best deal for the people of Normark.

The Elwynnese Commission for the Integration of Normark was given the mandate to hold the negotiations internally.
