1672 Majles election

The 1672 election to the Majles of the Alalehzamini Autonomous Republic (AAR) took place in 1672 following the establishment of the AAR. Due to a special law, the mandate of the first Majles was ten years, whereafter it would only be five years per elected Majles. However, in 1681, the Prince ordered fresh elections to the Majles.
For the purpose of Majles elections, the Alalehzamini Autonomous Republic is divided into 236 single-seat constituencies with approximately the same amount of voters in each. Voting is done by first-past-the post system.
