The Wechua people are the indigenous peoples of Keltia who speak any of the many different variations of the Wechu language. Most Wechu speakers live in central Keltia, mainly around Mount Lacara, southwestern Keltia, and Caputia.
The most common dialect of Wechu is Lacara Wechu. Wechuas living in Caputia speak the Wechu-Caputian dialect. Wechuas living near the coasts of Southwest Keltia speak Coastal Wechu.
Their ancestors lived in the region for many centuries before becoming a subject people of the ancient nation of Attera. Over the centuries, as the hardships that followed the collapse of Attera grew, many Wechuas left for Hamland and for the promising lands in southwestern Keltia, where they were ruled by the Vanderveer Reich and other nations later on until their own collapse.
and later of the Spanish in the 16th century. With the Spanish American Wars of Independence (1810–25), the Aymaras became subjects of the new nations of Bolivia and Peru. After the War of the Pacific (1879–83), Chile acquired territory occupied by the Aymaras.[5]
