COE Guard
The Council of Educators is provided a guard composed of private sector military veterans who are put through a government mandated training course. Their primary and principle responsibility is protecting members of COE and their families while they are in the capital city in the performance of their duties.
Training
All training takes place at the Government Agency Training Center located approximately 30 kilometers outside of the capital city. The following evolutions are conducted in the training program for COE Guard operatives
- Tactical Driving Course
- Tactical Weapons Course
- Aviation Skills
- Basic Medical Skills
- Tactical Simulations Course
Each of the operatives in the COE Guard are required to be proficient in the operation of several motorized vehicle types and the operation of small frame aircraft to transport their protectees from their region of residency to the capital itself. Aircraft utilized includes small single engine aircraft and single rotor helicopter aircraft. COE Guard operatives are required to be proficient in the safe use of all vehicles and aircraft and must be knowlegeable about their basic and intermediate maintenance and repair needs in the event of an emergency.
