NVF is an aircraft manufacturing and design company headquartered in Alexandretta, Meckelnburgh. Founded in 1685 AN, NVF specializes in the design of electronic warfare, surveillance and ASW patrol aircraft. Its main manufacturing plant is located in Victoria. The origin of the name "NVF" has been lost to time. NVF has one subsidiary division, Nimbo Air Services, that specializes in the Meckelnburgh strategic bombing development program, funded directly by the Meckelnburghish government.
The original product line manufactured by NVF in 1685 AN was more general, producing the MEDEVAC aircraft HP-228 Lifeline, weather collector WP-240 Blizzard, and maritime surveillance P-228 Fairwinds. In 1724 AN, NVF produced its first combat aircraft, the STOVL attack fighter F-51 Balklands. After difficulties sustaining its fighter production line, NVF closed for five years until 1734 AN as it retooled the company into an electronics and surveillance-focused manufacturer.
