Le Monde (Alexandrian: The World) is a Nouvelle Alexandrie daily afternoon newspaper. It is one of the largest national publications in circulation, with an average of 1,5 million copies per issue in 1730 AN, including about 250,000 sold abroad. It is based in Narbonne. It is published six days a week by the Le Monde Media Group. The newspaper is published in broadsheet format, and, since 1690 AN, online. Le Monde has been printed continously since its inception in 1685 AN. It is considered among the Nouvelle Alexandrie newspaper of record, alongside the Parap National Journal and The Aldurian Sun.
Le Monde publishes a luxury news and lifestyle magazine called Les Affaires Publique. The online version has been subscriber-only since the inception of the newspaper. Unique to its format, Le Monde is known for de-emphasising coverage of current affairs in favour of in-depth interpretation. The editorial stance of Le Monde has traditionally been relatively neutral, with a fierce defence of editorial independence.
Le Monde is renowned nationally for its special section in the weekend editions, called Les Décodeurs. These explainers and data visualizations provide a unique insight into current affairs, economic, and political news. Another unique feature of its online outlet is the section known as Pixels, which was created in 1740 AN, and is specialized in news on AI, social media, and disinformation. Perhaps the most unique feature of Le Monde is its 18+ online section known as L'Intime, which offers news on sexuality, LGBTQ+ affairs, and relationships.
