The Hato Rey Conference of XIII.1750 AN, saw Vice-Premier Fred Strong, present in Hato Rey on account of a tour of inspection of Alexandrian Legion regiments recently transferred to Boriquén from North Lyrica, meet with deputies Beatriz Daguao, Marco Colón, Tessa Ramirez, Yuisa Aracelis and Guarocuya Benítez, to discuss the commencement of a new political front into the region where the Wakara People's Party had governed since incorporation into the Federation and now stood increasingly suspected of governing along ethnic particularist lines through clientism. As former members of the WPP, the deputies had been invited to brief the Vice-Premier on the "lie of the land", the local political factions and power brokers. The Vice-Premier's contention was that Boriquén required a clean broom, and that the deputies, by virtue of being native to the land, would be best placed to provide it. Accordingly he was interested in their ideas on how to proceed.
