The Norona AI is a supercomputer artificial intelligence being actively developed by Lac Glacei in the city of Woden. The purpose of the project is to provide AI automation for industrial and commercial use. As a government-sponsored project, it is regulated by the Grand Duchy to comply with national safeguards and usage rights.

Development

Plans for constructing a supercomputer were discussed as far back at 1730, but took a few years to get through the planning phase. By 1734, Woden was chosen as the location for the facility and construction began in 1735. The facility is estimated to cost some 2 billion BL and take two years to construct. By 1737 scientists reported that the facility was nearing its initial powering-up phase but were undergoing additional heath and safety studies.
