The Kalexisse Green Tech Corridor is a pioneering urban development project in Kalexisse, Oportia, dedicated to fostering innovation in sustainable technologies and environmental solutions. Launched in 1728 AN, the corridor spans approximately 15 square kilometers along the eastern edge of Kalexisse, transforming former industrial areas and brownfields into a hub for green technology research, development, and implementation.
The corridor is home to over 200 companies ranging from startups to multinational corporations, all focused on various aspects of green technology such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, eco-friendly construction, and waste management. Key features of the corridor include state-of-the-art research facilities, incubator spaces for green tech startups, and demonstration areas for new sustainable technologies. The project has been instrumental in positioning Kalexisse as a leader in environmental innovation within Oportia and the broader Raspur Pact region.
In 1734 AN, the corridor saw a significant expansion with the establishment of the Kalexisse Institute of Sustainable Technology (KIST). This new green tech university was created through a partnership between the Oportian government and a consortium of 38 companies representing diverse fields of technology and sustainability. KIST aims to provide cutting-edge education and research opportunities in areas such as clean energy systems, sustainable urban planning, and ecological engineering.
