Football in the Aemilian Confederation

Football is the most popular team sport in the Confoederatio Aemilia, with 23% of the population playing it in a club setting at one point in their life, and over half of the population following either a club that participates in one of the national competitions, or following the national team.

The Foederatio Pedilusoria Aemilia is the Aemilian Football Federation and the nation's football governing body with several thousand football clubs as members. The football play in a league system, with the Prima Foederatio being the most honourful league. Only the clubs in the Prima Foederatio have players that have playing football as their primary profession, players in the Secundus Foederatio are often paid on days that they have matches and training sessions, but need to hold another job to thrive in life. The best players are selected to play in the Aemilia national football team, their first official international match was against Whales in the 2024 CiboTap Championships qualification and was won 3-2.
