Moorland Witan
The Witan (lit. "wise men") is the main legislative body of the Kingdom of Moorland. Like most parliament's within a constitutional monarchy, the Witan is composed of a body of elected officials representing the three regions of Moorland (East Moorland, West Moorland, and Nevermoor). Members assume the title of MW (Member of the Witan) and the chamber if chaired by a Prime Minister. Bills may be introduced by any MW and must receive approval by 75% of the chamber in order to obtain assent. The bill is then sent to the King for executive approval, who may then approve or reject the motion. If rejected the Witan has five days to appeal the decision, in which case the Witan moves into a special session to review the proposal a second time, repeating the process. If rejected again the bill is tabled.
