The Physical map is one of the 3 Main maps of the MCS and one of the 2 static maps. This means that it cannot be edited by any ordinary member, Council member or even Administrator general. Despite being static there are multiple themes and some rogue Administrators of the past have even made edits that some people protest to get removed again to this day.

Themes

The themes of the special map are as follows:
The [original style] of the Physical map is the oldest and most established, it has 4 undefined levels of altitude and 5 text styles (for Mountains, Rivers/lakes/bays, seas, islands and continents) and is made from basic colours of the map using mspaint.
The [original special map] version of the physical map was the first attempt at a new version of the physical map and was based upon the old special style proposed by Scott. It had 7 levels of altitude which are also undefined and had various text styles, it labels more mountains than the original style of physical map and also includes altitude labels (in feet?) on the mountains, the first time for mountains to have altitude labels.
The new special map version of the physical map was created by Pawel to be in the same style as Pawel's Claimsmap which is updated in synchronous with the ordinary Claimsmap.
The [brand new special map] is a new version of the special map, also made by Scott it uses gradients and fractals? and has more mountains than any map before it and labels with their height in metres. It also features icons that link to this wiki and other sites with Scott offering the ability to add more.

Controversy

There is some controversy surrounding the physical map because of inaccuracies, mostly surrounding the addition of Leng, Sypyr and Cibola. Major supporters of their removal include Scott.
