Malliki Orea is the current Qukalsim of Sanama and the leader of the Sanamati Democratic Party. He took over leadership of the party and the nation following the failed 1707 Sanaman military coup d'état and guided the nation to a new constitution and free elections.
Arrest
Orea was together with several other high-ranking officials of the previous government arrested on 4.XII.1719 on suspicion of public corruption and violation of the constitution in relation to the secret arms sales to the Hurmu communists. He was released the same day but placed under house arrest.
Trial and conviction
The trial started on 5.III.1720 in the Semisa City high court. After a trial spanning three weeks, Orea was found guilty of public corruption and sentenced to nine years imprisonment. This forced him to resign as leader of the SDP, and also caused the party in the Lhusan Nasyonal to collapse.
