Accession of Sankt Ludwigshafen to the Raspur Pact

Following the accession of the Mondosphere in 1716, the Republic of Sankt Ludwigshafen found itself surrounded by neighbors that were aligned with the Raspur Pact. Discussions between Mondo, a certain misanthropic representative of the Raspur Pact, and the republic started immediately in order to safe-guard friendly relations between Mondo and the republic. In an early phase the prospect of a limited mutual defense pact, only in Cibola, was entertained but this was not pursued further. In IX.1717 the Republic of Sankt Ludwigshafen asked Mondo to sponsor the application of the Republic to become a full member of the pact, the republic was invited by Mondo and the representative of the Raspur Pact to present a formal application in XIV.1717.
On 10.XIV.1717 the Stadtparlement issued a ratification of the Raspur Pact and the provisions of the founding treaty regulating the freedom of movement, freedom of trade, and mutual guarantees concerning the security of the signatory parties, which was provisional pending the formal acceptance of the republic within the pact. Stadtholder Hans Schafenweide sent letters to all member states of the Raspur Pact, and the Permanent Comission the next day, this being 11.XIV.1717, , informing them of the decision of the Stadtparlement. Along with the letters, intricate quilts depicting the Lanzerwald's natural beauty were gifted to the member states and members of the Permanent Commission.
