Common Sense Principles: A Path Forward for Nouvelle Alexandrie is a book written by a group of prominent New Alexandrian Deputies Yuri Allcca Canchasto (WEC), Christian Clavier (ALD), and Émile Dumont (ALD); and edited by Martin Jensen, Delia Gonzalez, and Alberto Rodriguez in 1704 AN. The book's central philosophy, and some of its ideas, are supported and endorsed by the Moderate Caucus National Committee (MCNC).
The term "Common Senser" refers to the people in the Moderate Caucus that subscribe closely to the prescriptions and policy ideas from the book, in particular its commitment to constitutional reforms.
The Common Sense Principles center around three main themes:
- the establishment of a prosperous market economy;
- prevent the erosion of civil rights and expand the freedoms of New Alexandrians;
- dissolve the Chamber of Peers to turn it into an elected Senate.
