Department of Social Security and National Solidarity (Nouvelle Alexandrie)

The Department of Social Security and National Solidarity is the department that is in charge of the policies of the federal government of Nouvelle Alexandrie on matters relating to "social welfare": financial security, social services, medical and health care, health promotion, and the rights of children and disabled people. Several key components of the New Prosperity Plan, in particular the Social Solidarity system, which provides benefits to the unemployed, elderly, disabled, poor, and widowed; among others.
The department is headed by a Secretary of Social Security and National Solidarity, who is appointed by the King on the advice of the President of the Government. The Secretary of Social Security and National Solidarity is a member of the Council of State.
The Department of Social Security and National Solidarity is headquartered at the Marco Zimmer Government Building in the Colonne de la Forêt neighborhood of Cárdenas, FCD. The department was established in 1686 AN as part of the New Prosperity Plan to help oversee and manage welfare programs and multitudes of infrastructure projects such as hospitals, clinics, and other facilities.
