Disciplined services of Port Balaine
The Commonwealth of Port Balaine Gendarmery (Toki Wawa: lawa ma uta pi ma jan pi telo esun Palin) is the unified military force of the Commonwealth of Port Balaine. The Gendarmery provides national defense to Port Balaine, including traditional naval, airborne and armored components. The force is tasked with mitigation of external threats, including border control, as well as civil defense. The Gendarmery is also charged with the protection of significant national assets, such as nuclear, aeronautical and governmental installations.
The only independent service of the Gendarmery, the Commonwealth of Port Balaine Constabulary (Toki Wawa: lawa ma pi ma jan pi telo esun Palin) is the national police force and security service of Port Balaine, charged with regular policing and internal intelligence. While subordinate to the Gendarmery, the Constabulary's unique focus on civil rather than military affairs, along with its incompatible advancement track, limits inter-service operations.
