The Monarchy of Sanilla is the traditional monarchy of the former Kingdom of Sanilla. Founded in 502, the kingdom survived Shirerithian and republican rule, and is now one focal point in traditional Sanillan culture. The current monarch, King Malliki XVII (Malliki Nur Pinito Kasha), ascended the throne in 1687. Since Sanama is a republic, the monarchy has no formal power, only informal influence. The capital of the kingdom is Fala.
