1687 Jingdaoese Blitzkrieg Exercise

The 1687 Jingdaoese Blitzkrieg Exercise, also known as Operation Thunderstruck, was a Jingdaoese military exercise with the intention to test the Jingdaoese capacity to quickly field a sizeable army to perform offensive duties from a state of low alert. The exercise was not announced to the participating officers until 12 hours before the start. A total of 100,000 infantrymen and 1,000 armoured fighting vehicles, roughly half of them main battle tanks, participated in the exercise that took place all over Jingdao, but in the northeastern area in particular.
