The 1687 Jingdaoese Blitzkrieg Exercise, also known as Operation Thunderstruck, was a Jingdaoese military exercise with the intention to test the Jingdaoese capacity to quickly field a sizeable army to perform offensive duties from a state of low alert. The exercise was not announced to the participating officers until 12 hours efore the start. A total of 100,000 infantrymen and 500 armoured vehicles participated in the exercise that took place all over Jingdao, but in the northeastern area in particular.
