Giacomo Mattia Lucci is a Batavian poet, author and politician of Tyrenian descent.

Life

Born in Tyrenia, in a working-class family, Lucci moved on to study law at the university of Sheng, in Jingdao. He dropped out after two years however, and worked for the local government of lesser-Attera. He worked on the unification of the Atterean provinces, but found himself frustrated with the Jingdaoese bureaucracy. A man of letters, Lucci decided to focus on writing, and published one novel and two bundles of poetry.

After briefly returning to his Tyrenian homeland, Lucci joined the Jingdaoese expeditionary force to Blackstone, following the Jingdaoese administrative annexation. He took up residence in the Colony of Itteria, which was largely founded by Tyrenians within the Iron Company. He has several jobs, as a teacher, salesman and archivist for the government. Following the transfer of Western Benacia to Batavia, Lucci received Batavian citizenship. He was elected mayor of Itteren in 1664 as an independent.
