Raveness, is the capital city of Nevermoor within the Kingdom of Moorland. It is the westernmost stronghold of the kingdom and a major military fortress that houses the Nevermoor Knights. Although only having a small population within an extremely rural region, the city represents the primary western defence point against which barbarians are repelled from the Green and from the Confederacy of the Dispossessed.
