The Sazeman-e Ettela'at va Amniyat-e Suren (SAVAS: the Intelligence and Security Organisation of the Suren) was established in 1709 AN with the passing of the Intelligence and Security Organisation of the Suren Act in that year by the Majles-e Suren.
