Henry Valentin Barreau is a billionaire and an independent politician from Nouvelle Alexandrie, currently serving as a Deputy of the Federal Assembly for the Region of Alduria since 1703 AN. Prior to his entrance in politics, Barreau was the founder and CEO of the largest cellphone company in the Federation, Celly. His political ideology is characterized as having liberal and libertarian views, known for his support of federalism and environmentalism.
Born in Triegon, Natopia in 16.II.1664 AN, his father is a billionaire businessman and communications tycoon in Neridia, Joseph Barreau. He was educated at the Imperial University of Alexandria in Triegon, Natopia; and then later at Nathan & Elijah College in Lindström, Natopia. After the sudden death of his father on 1691 AN, he became the new CEO of his father's cellphone company, the Celly Corporation. Under his leadership, Celly drastically expanded its cellphone networks and connections throughout Nouvelle Alexandrie, keeping up with the nation's fast territorial expansions.
Months leading to the 1703 general election, Barreau dramatically delivered a speech at a corporate conference for Celly in which he announced his resignation to "pursue public service and fight for a better Nouvelle Alexandrie". He announced that he was pursuing a career in the Federal Assembly as Deputy, advocating a balanced budget, the enactment of electronic direct democracy, and the aggressive expansion and colonization of Keltia by Nouvelle Alexandrie. He won his seat in the 1703 general election as an independent Deputy for the Region of Alduria.
