The Casa Legii (House of Law) is the bicameral legislature of the Republic of Nova Caradia. It was established in Mina Mițura in 1690 as part of the first government of the republic. The House is split between the Ședință, the lower house, and the Senat, the upper house. It holds most of the legislative power of the republic's government, though some is held by the President through the power of presidential orders. Following the construction of the city, the Casa Legii began meeting in the Curtea de Rozmarin in Rorfast.
Representatives and Senatori are elected in each district of Nova Caradia through a first-past-the-post system. Districts each have a number of seats in the Ședință based on the percentage of the Nova Caradian populace in that district (plus one representative from the Special Rorfast District), while each district has ten Senatori in the Senat (plus two Senatori from the Special Rorfast District). Representatives and Senatori serve for four years, with no set term limit.
Powers
Ședință
The Ședință is the more significant of the two houses of the Casa Legii, with its primary function being the drafting of new bills to create laws. The Ședință is presided over by the Prime Minister, and must confirm the President's nomination of Prime Minister and the Prime Minister's cabinet and governmental outline with a three-fifths majority vote. The Ședință also has the ability to remove the Prime Minister from office with a vote of no confidence. The Ședință can also call the President to trial in a Tribunal, and vote to try the President before the Senat to potentially remove them from office.
Senat
The Senat's primary objective is the maintenance of the constitution, as it is the house of the Casa Legii endowed with the ability to vote for amendments to the constitution of the republic. The Senat also confirms bills drafted by the Ședință before passing them to the President to be signed. Additionally, it is responsible for setting the state budget, and possesses the ability to establish Parliamentary Commissions, which have the authority investigate and manage entities as outlined in the constitution.

Parties
Partid Conservator Național
Originally founded as a blanket conservative party, its political ideology slipped towards centre very quickly in the early months of the republic, increasingly willing to cooperate with the Unită Caradia and Alianță Liberală parties. Party leader Milana Împotriva responded to criticism of the party's shifting viewpoint by saying that the party "has an obligation first and foremost to the republic, not to its ideals".
Partid Regalist
Represented the nation's citizens desiring a return to totalitarian government until X.1690, when a ruling by the other parties of the Casa Legii outlawed totalitarian-aligned parties in the Casa Legii, and then shifted its ideology towards general authoritarianism rather than strict totalitarianism.
Unită Caradia
Centrist party mainly offering to serve "Nova Caradia first, the party second".
Alianță Liberală
Centre-left party advocating for equality for all Nova Caradian citizens, and for laws securing democracy's establishment in the republic.
Black Flame Alliance
Far-right party created by the leadership of the remaining old Flemic clergy in an effort to return the church to a high position in the state.
Revoluție Stiințifică
Left-wing party calling for a focus on scientific development in the republic to meet the growing needs of the population and return Nova Caradia to a stable position in the international community more quickly.
Caradian Workers' Party
Left-wing party advocating for workers' rights and more government involvement in the economy.
