Halfzee

The island of the Halfzee, or Half Sea in Istvanistani is an island that has been transferred into the hands of the Barbarian Republic in the year 1688 pending a final decision by the Council of Basella that still awaits the advice of the MCS. The island was previously known as Hexiehaizei, or the Maritime Free Republic. The Barbarian Republic intends to use the island as a place where goods can be transferred between trading vessels belonging to the Barbarian merchant fleet, or stored temporarily. After the land trade is finalised, Jingdao will cease its naval activities on the islands before the year 1690, while remaining merchants that identify themselves with the Maritime Free Republic will join the Barbarian merchant fleet. The island remains open to the Tianchao Haijun for the purpose of refuelling ships, at normal commercial cost.
