Samerican Militia
A faction in the Hammish Civil War (WiP).
Supported by a small cadre of officers and gunners who defected from the Hammish Land Forces at the start of the Hammish Civil War, the Samerican Militia is an eclectic mix of rural and urban Samerican armed groups, some as fully fledged militia regiments while others were little more than street gangs. The inchoate militia force is held together by a Corps, Division and Brigade command structure that has been built around so-called Operations Centres", staffed by the few professionally trained officers available to the militia, who provide a modicum of command and control. Although poorly equipped and largely untrained, the Samerican Militia has shown itself to be, on occasion, willing and able to defend defensive positions with an impressive tenacity. It is their misfortune however to be pitted against Shirerithian volunteer forces possessed of superior firepower and a casual disregard for human life; both of their own and of their enemies.
