Imperial Volunteers for Agricultural Duties in Hamland.

The Sxiro-Hammish Agricultural Mission (SHAM) was a delegation comprised of veterans demobilised from the Imperial Army and Jaysh al-Sathrati in the wake of the Benacian Wars (2016-2017), which provided specialist support to the ruling CSSH faction in Hamland during the era of its own civil war.

The primary purpose of the SHAM was, in the words of Shirerithian Steward, Daniyal Sikander Dravot, to "shock agricultural production" and to provide the lawful government of Hamland with the means to sustain itself in the months and years ahead. This did however necessitate the inclusion of a security detail in the organisation structure.

The SHAM also became the primary conduit by which surplus Shirerithian weapons and munitions were passed to the CSSH to counter-act the support provided by the New Zimian War League to rebel forces.

Overall, the strategic reasoning behind the SHAM was to allow Shireroth to trade guns, of which it had a surplus bordering on the obscene, for grain and hard currency, having depleted its reserves of both during a period of frantic rearmament and internal conflict.

As the extent of the deterioration in Hamland became apparent, the SHAM was obliged to organise food aid distribution in rural areas under NPA control in order to prevent famine and the consumption of next years seed crop by starving agricultural workers.

When involved in the Hammish Civil War on combat operations, the SHAM operates as the 2nd Army Corps under the operational command of the NPA/CSSH.
