The Grand Lausanne Shipyard is a significant industrial development currently under construction in Lausanne, South Lyrica, Nouvelle Alexandrie. This ambitious project, undertaken by the United Manufacturing Corporation (UMC), marks a strategic expansion of the nation's shipbuilding capacity and aims to position Lausanne as a central hub for maritime engineering and naval manufacturing. The construction of the shipyard began in 1731 AN[1] and is scheduled for completion by 1737 AN.
Development
The development of the Grand Lausanne Shipyard is being executed in partnership with the renowned shipbuilding firm, Pontecorvo Firm, which is also known for its expertise in large-scale industrial shipbuilding projects. This collaboration is set to bring about state-of-the-art facilities, encompassing Federal Navy repair docks and supply stations, which will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of Nouvelle Alexandrie's naval forces. The shipyard is strategically located to leverage Lausanne's coastal position, providing easy access to international waters and maritime trade routes.
