Forests in Polonias

Perkuć Reserve in Puszcza Augustowska

Forests cover an estimated 40% of Polonias's territory, and are mostly owned by the state. They are currently increasing at a fast rate, and by 2035 Polonias's forest percentage will be 44-48%. Northern and southern parts of Polonias are much more forested than eastern and central provinces. The most forested administrative districts of the country are: Polnoc Voivodstvo (60,2%), Wschod Voivodstvo (58,2%). The least forested is the Zachod Voivodstvo (45,2%).
