Abbreviation INS

The Empire of Insulia (also formerly known as Transnordata, and Voxland and Westland) is a Polonaise-speaking country on Micras, formed in the late 17th century after Norton as a union between Voxland and Westland, and known as the United State of Voxland and Westland until 1705 AN when it changed its name to its current name following the coronation of a unified ruler – Emperor Bazyli Izaak I. It is located in northern Apollonia on an island of its own, Voxland, previously known as Stormark's Vinland. Westland is reputedly located on Pollin, an off-world location about which - at present - nothing is known.

For a brief amount of time, Insulia was called Transnordata.

Monarch

Insulia is a federal parliamental monarchy. Current head of state of Insulia is Emperor Kamiljan de Harlin.

Parliament

Insulian parliament is divided into two seperate houses: Presidium and Senate. The first one is legislative house and the second one is advisory house. They work independently of each other.

Presidium

Presidium passes state-wide laws and ratify international treaties. The 13 members of the Presidium are elected through Single Constituency System via Hare–Niemeyer method.

Senate

Senate also passes laws, despite being being called advisory house. However, Senate's acts have the lowest rank in law hierarchy. This means, that all laws passed by Senate must obey regulations of every higher-rank act.
