Department of Education (Nouvelle Alexandrie)
The Department of Education is the department that is in charge of the policies of the federal government of Nouvelle Alexandrie on matters relating to education. The department collects data on New Alexandrian schools, and enforces federal educational laws regarding privacy and civil rights. It is also in charge of national policies and programs that help New Alexandrians access quality and affordable early childhood education, school education, higher education, vocational education and training, international education and academic research.
The Department of Education works closely with the Department of Culture and Sports on matters of common policy, especially the promotion and development of physical education.
The department is headed by a Secretary of Education, who is appointed by the King on the advice of the President of the Government. The Secretary of Education is a member of the Council of State.
The Department of Education is headquartered at East Meadow Tower Building, in the Government Triangle neighborhood of Cárdenas, FCD. The department was established in 1687 AN as part of the New Prosperity Plan to administer important education projects and infrastructure projects relating to education such as school construction, improvements, and other projects.
