The Port Balaine Superleague (PBS) is the sole national association football league in Port Balaine. The league was organized in 2021 to formalize the senior play of Balainese football. It is organized by the Port Balaine Football Association, though its clubs are privately owned. The league hosts 34 teams across the top four levels of the Balainese football pyramid.
The Superleague also manages the PBS Reserve League as its non-age-restricted academy and reserve format.
Organization
The Superleague has four divisions: the Premiership (10 clubs), the Championship (eight), 3. Division (eight) and 4. Division (eight). In the Premiership, a four-round round-robin season is played, totaling 36 games a season. In the lower three divisions, five-rounds are played, totaling 35. Two clubs are relegated and promoted between each division automatically after each season.
Clubs
Clubs in the Superleague are organized privately. Some, especially in the Premiership, are operated professionally for profit. Most are semi-professional or amateur. A few, such as Port Balaine Gendarmery FC, are sponsored by the commonwealth government. Listed below are the 34 member clubs of the Superleague for the 2021–22 season:
