The Special Operations Executive (SOE) is a Nova English Intelligence gathering organisation. Following Witan approval, it was officially formed by Minister of Defence Olric Dalton on 22 July 1913, to conduct espionage, sabotage and reconnaissance in occupied regions against hostile powers, and to aid local resistance movements.
Organisation
The structure of the Special Operations Executive was developed around the use of small individual cells that would report and receive orders from region/national controllers. By utilising this fluid structure it reduced the risk of the wider organisation becoming compromised. The information gathered is then analysed by the Headquarters branch who then disseminate the reports onto the Ministry of Defence and the Nova English Armed Forces.
Agents
The Special Operations Executive recruits from all branches of the Faedertellus regardless of the social standing or current occupation of the recruit. In addition to this the organisation often recruits operatives with foreign nationalities to undertake clandestine operations within the nations in question. Prerequisites for those recruited into the SOE are generally a keen diplomatic flair as well as a keenness for robust soldiering.
Operatives are trained in a variety of skills including;
- Skill at arms.
- Demolition.
- Sabotage.
- Espionage.
- Counter-Espionage.
- Hand to Hand Combat.
- Development of assets/militias.
