The election for the Fifth Synklētos was the first one since the end of the [[Euran War]] and the campaign was mainly focused on reconstruction after the devastating act of crime of the Jingdaoese dictatorship. The winning party, led by [[Andreas Metaxas]], promised to re-build the Constancian infrastructure and committed to full employment. The Council drafted a speech from the Throne, beginning with Metaxas' election pledge to "remain committed to punishing Jingdaoese war criminals for their capital crimes against this realm". Despite the difficulty of wartime government and the split of the Kómma ton Syntiritikón Monarchikoí, the Mesazōn's re-branded Dimokratia Avyi succeeded in retaining 25 of their seats, therefore maintaining themselves in power under a coalition with the split KSM. | |||
