Nuclear power in Vegno was officialy established with the Legge 3 1706.
Vegno started to produce nuclear energy in the early 1713 AN with the Montalto Power Plant, based near the city of Crati, in the region of Buonriposo.

Decommissioning
Nuclear power plants in Vegno are currently being decommissioned by Vegnener, a company under control of the Vegnese Ministry of Economy and Finance. The company is responsible for the handling of nuclear waste and the dismantling and decontamination of decommissioned power plants. Vegnener also manages nuclear waste from other applications, such as medical devices and scientific centers.
