Considered by many to be the gateway between Eastern and Western Passas, Zimia sits on the Southern edge of the Zimian highlands, in the Southern reaches of the Eloran Plains of Western Pallisica. Established in 2823 ASC, Zimia is one of only three Passasian cities which have largely avoided collapse, at least in contrast to the cities of the East. During the Passasian civil war Zimia allied with the victorious Pallisicans, and as a result the city was later annexed by the Confederacy of Gralus. Under Gralun rule, Zimia was a hotbed of Pallisican resistance against the Confederacy. When Passas once again regained independence in 3341 ASC, the city enjoyed a brief period of economic growth before succumbing to the effects of prolonged drought. The city would sit in ruin for over 1,000 years before being reestablished by the Kingdom of Hamland. Under Hammish rule, Zimia has served as the home of the Passasian military.
Today, the region enjoys relatively high stability, though the reputation of the region remains blemished by a religious extremist uprising in 4718 ASC. As of 5242 ASC, the majority of Zimians are employed by the Passasian War League, who maintains a presence at Fort Sinders, to the Southwest of the City. HamRail and PallisaStone are also major employers in the province. Historically Ceentral Grain has maintained a strong presence in the city, though this is less true as of late.
Of the Passasian provinces, Zimia has the largest population of nymphs, most notably the Acheavahngi, who lay claim to territory in the Eastern Zimian Society, and the Boraki, who worship the god of rain. The high population of nymphs in the region has historically caused a rift in the local human population, with some claiming that nymphs and humans ought to coexist freely and openly, while others maintain the belief that the two races ought to remain segregated. Officially, Zimia is among the most segregated regions in Passas, if not the entire Commonwealth. In the opinion of many residents of the region, this will become a matter of grave concern if it is not addressed by the local government, or the PRG.

Population (760 WG): 1,000,679
