The Stratus Class airship is the most used non-military airship in the Republic of Nova Caradia. The model is designed to carry routine cargo (and occasionally passengers) between the disparate cities in the republic. It has a maximum weight capacity of 10,000 kilograms, which are stored in the envelope of the airship alongside the gas bladders that provide aerostatic lift. This particular model of airship is unique in its utilisation of aerodynamic lift as well as aerostatic, with much of the lift needed by the craft being provided by the wings on its sides.

The design is purposely basic to allow for modifications to the design for various applications, the only one already incorporated at the craft's first usage was the allowance for some of the storage space in the envelope to be converted into basic living quarters for necessary short passenger transport.
