The 2012 Mercury Footby League will be the inaugural Mercury Footby League season, contested by 16 teams. The teams will be split into four divisions. They will play each team in their division twice (one home and one away) and every other team in the league once (six home games and six away games), for a total of 18 games. After this, the division winners will qualify for the playoffs, along with the two best other teams.
