The Florian Republic name change referendum commonly known as the Name change referendum, was a name-change referendum held in the Florian Republic in 1684. It occurred after a bill was passed in the first Florian Congress and enforced by President Morgan Sharp.

The referendum question was Should the Florian Republic change its official name?

Both the UNPR and IDPFR were the main campaign groups for a name change stating that the current name reflected on the micronations poor history in the past and that the ongoing rapid expansion signalled a new era for the Florian People and therefore believed a name change was essential to move the country forward. The Labour Party was the main opposition as it believed that the country should stick to its roots and honour its history.
