The Shâhanshâh of Babkha, often shortened to Shah is the head of state of Babkha, which is, temporarily at least, a transitional absolute monarchy pending the introduction of a constitution and of a more permanent system of government. The Babkhan monarchy is as old as Babkha itself, beginning with Babak Shah's establishment of Babkha on October 12, 2000. There have, so far, been nine Shahs of Babkha.
