Nationality

Any specific earlier points where he was definitively considered A1-born? Could have been a Tianan immigrant to A1 or visa versa, or some other form of mixed-ancestry...

Trying to give Ozzie some sort of plausible tie to Tiana in backround, to justify his place on the national team. Tiana is very multicultural and that could tie in well. Joseph puglisi 22:46, 28 December 2012 (UTC)

Well, he was created as an A1 player when NAPI included him in his team, so his first FMF nationality was for A1. I'd assume, also, because his name's "Ozzie", that that alludes to A1 being an Australian micronation!
With how the FMF has always conducted nationality rules, he has become eligible for Tiana's national side due to A1's death. If you wish to put that into the context of a backstory; the closest thing to reality would be that he emigrated after A1's demise and became a naturalised Tianan. Many, many players have changed nationality this way after their birth nation (or even adopted nation, in a few cases) has disbanded, so would fit that trend as well as any Tianan ties. Didn't catch the reference to Australia there, actually. Was thinking more along the lines of Ozzie Osbourne, hah.
Anyhow, though, I'm not entirely informed on FMF eligibility rules, but if they're similar to FIFA eligibility rules, wouldn't there be multiple suitable explanations? For example, I know many players from South America who move to the United States, or from Africa who move to Europe, or are born to foreign parents in their new nation, prefer to represent the team of their ancestry, rather than their team of residence or birth. So then under what my thoughts were, for Kalvin Ozzie, would be that he'd have been born to mixed Tianan and A1 parents in Tiana, and have lived a portion of his early childhood in A1, thereby satisfying the eligibility rules to represent A1, until its eventual demise. Well, we do include such eligibility rules, but with how often we have nations coming and going, there's a considerable amount more naturalisation than there is within FIFA. "Adopting" players who come from nations which bordered you, or have a similar culture base, is pretty commonplace, so there's not really much emphasis on players having certain lineage unless they were originally created so. However, NAPI was the one who "created" Ozzie, so I guess he could always be persuaded to create a bit of family history for him if you're not comfortable with the direct emigration thing!
Another player in the same situation is Paul Smith of Tkir Rapids, who was created A1 but changed to Tianan, who might be more likely to have genuine Tianan ancestry in comparison to Ozzie. Craitman 11:27, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

Ah, alright, I think I get what you mean there. With that, and with current known information about Ozzie, what would probably make the most sense is an A1-born and cultured player raised in Tiana after moving there, and continuing to claim A1 nationality. I don't think it makes much sense to list him as having played on the A1 National Team, though, due to age.
