The Zyrkistan Armed Forces (ZAF) are the military services of the Islamic Republic of Zyrkistan, responsible for its defence and national interests.

The ZAF consists of three branches: the Zyrkistan Army, the Islamic Republic of Zyrkistan Navy (IRZN), and the Islamic Republic of Zyrkistan Air Force (IRZAF). The ZAF protects the interests, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Zyrkistan from external threats.

History

Contribution in times of national crisis

On 23rd June 2002, Fly Emedaau Flight DU692 was hijacked by a group of terrorists before departing Zyrkistan. The Zyrkistan Army had several patrols at the Bandar Bharu Airport, in which they saved the situation.

National Service

In Zyrkistan, males above the age of 18 are eligible to participate in National Service. They will be put through Basic Training (BT) for 1 year, followed by another with more complexed training. They will be eligible for only one course from Army, Navy, Air Force, Police Force (ZDF) or Civil Defence (ZDF).

Training

Prior to enlistment, recruits will undergo medical tests to ensure that they are eligible to enlist. Those will medical conditions may still enlist but will not participate in certain activities. Afterwards, recruits will undergo Basic Training in Pulau Lama, an island used for military training in Zyrkistan, for 1 year. Afterwards, they will move separately based off their courses to continue their Complexed Training.

Locations for ZAF Complexed Training:

  • Pulau Lama (Army CT1)
  • Fort Pahak (Army CT2)
  • Daas Military Base (Air Force CT1 & CT2)
  • Jurong River Outpost (Navy CT1)
  • Pulau Lama (Navy CT2)

Locations for ZDF Complexed Training:

  • ZDF Headquarters (Police CT1 & Civil Defence CT1)
  • ZDF Krasnovlac Training Base (Civil Defence CT2)
  • ZDF Daau Training Base (Police CT2)

Foreign defence relations

The ZAF and ZDF have signed agreements with Daau and Krasnovlac to allow all three sides to train in all three nations. The agreement included that all three nations have training bases that can be used by all the three nations. This was also made to ensure that the ties between these three nations stay put and reduce the risk of any disagreements.
