History
The team was founded in mid-2018 after the foundation of Alrig as the successor state to the Old Oil Rig. The team first competed in the 2019 World Cup qualifiers, where they finished bottom of their five-team group with one point to their name.

In the 2021 FMF World Cup qualification rounds, the team finished third in their five-team group with eleven points. Later in the year, Alrig became an autonomous region of Great Apollonia, after Jingdao joined with Çakaristan, and retained its separate FMF membership.
In early 2022, prior to the start of the year's Copa Apollonia qualifiers, Alrig became a protectorate of the newly-independent Kildare. In the qualifiers themselves, the team finished second in their five-team group with 15 points. Shortly afterwards, Alrig became a protectorate of Shireroth following its annexation of Kildare.

The team competed in the Copa Apollonia qualifiers the following year, where they placed third in their five-team group with eleven points.
