The Veiga Security Corporation, more commonly known as Veiga Sec., is a Ciric private security company and weapons manufacturer. The company is renowned for its highly skilled officers trained for various levels of armament, from highly armed private security of vaults and warehouses to the low-armed nature of security of commercial centres. The corporation has even been hired by the Ciric government to participate in exercises with the Ciric armed forces to evaluate its usefulness, and currently is under contract with the government, officially to assist in the defence of government-owned assets when the military forces that normally guard such installations cannot be mobilised quickly enough to respond.
History
Veiga Sec. was founded in 1601 AN by Anders Veiga, a veteran of the Ciric armed forces, having held the rank of Major General and was honourably discharged at the age of 60 in 1599, once he had reached the upper age limit that the armed forces allow. Anders Veiga founded Veiga Sec. two years after his discharge, becoming the first CEO and Chief Commanding Officer of the corporation, stating that the mission statement of the corporation was to "offer the highest level of protection to all confederate citizens". From the beginning, the corporation employed military-style training to enforce discipline and create a military-grade corporation to provide the highest level of protection to the populace of the confederacy. After Anders Veiga died in 1654, his son, Hayden Veiga, became CEO after having left the Ciric armed forces to take over his father's company, with Alexandra Hain, who had previously served in the company as an officer becoming the new Chief Commanding Officer, and Hayden's husband, Jordan Veiga, becoming COO of the company.
Reputation and Services
Veiga Sec. maintains a very strong reputation among confederate business owners and private individuals, having the highest success rate of any private security company in the nation. The corporation has been employed as the personal security detail of prominent confederate celebrities such as Edward Coldstone, as well as providing security for many confederate companies, such as the Confederate National Bank. Additionally, the company serves as a private militia organisation, and has been hired by city officials to secure dangerous locations; this has led to the corporation forming a long-standing contract with the Moros Corps to provide officers to serve as the de facto special operations unit for the Moros Corps.
Veiga Sec. has also purchased a number of factories and a license from the Confederate Military Production Matrix in order to effectively produce military grade weapons legally, though it rarely produces high-caliber weapons for obvious legal complications regarding non-military personnel being in possession of these kinds of weaponry. Veiga Sec. produces roughly one tenth of the arms used by the Ciric armed forces, and almost nine tenths of the arms purchased by confederate private citizens. Veiga Sec. is very closely connected with the Evard Automobile Company, due to the company producing much of the vehicles used by the Moros Corps, which are also used by Veiga Sec.
