Velibor Jovanović-Smičić is the present Knjaz of Northern Coria (since 1726). He is also a Senator of the Lakes (since 1734) and has previously served as First Secretary of State of the Order of the Holy Lakes (1739–1746).

He played an important role in the reconstruction of Northern Coria after the civil conflict, and became a close friendship with President Đorđe Babić. Through this friendship, Velibor was introduced to Babić's daughter Karmen Babić-al-Osman. Velibor and Karmen then married in 1723 in a rite overseen by Archbishop Kiril Mitrovski. Velibor becoming a member of the Order of the Holy Lakes through his marriage. Two years later, in 1725, Karmen gave birth to Velibor's first-born son, Nikolaj.

Velibor continued his political activities in restoring peace and security in Northern Coria by allying himself with both the Order of the Holy Lakes (of which he was now a member) and the Corian Orthodox Church.

In 1726, he was named Knjaz of Northern Coria by the local government in Northern Coria and was crowned thus by Archbishop Kiril Mitrovski. During his coronation, he swore an oath of fealty to the Order of the Holy Lakes.
