Support for both parties has dropped significantly, with the FCP falling to 31.2% and the FHP to 30.8%, their lowest levels in recent memory.

The political upheaval comes amid what many are calling a "crisis of affordability." While headline inflation has cooled, structural costs — particularly housing — remain stubbornly high. The East Keltian Collapse has transformed from a distant crisis into a daily reality for millions of New Alexandrians, as refugee families become neighbors and coworkers.

The government's approval rating has slipped to 32.4%, with housing and integration policies being key points of criticism. The renewed presence of the Confederacy of the Dispossessed across Keltia has added another layer of complexity, raising questions about regional stability and future refugee flows. That's without mentioning the massive pressure on Nouvelle Alexandrie's vast borders with the Keltian Green.

"The traditional parties seem to be speaking an outdated language," notes Dr. Monteiro. "Voters are looking for bold solutions to unprecedented challenges." Whether discussing housing affordability, refugee integration, or regional security, the public appetite for transformative change is clear.

As one Cárdenas voter put it: "We need leaders who understand that we're not just facing a temporary crisis—we're building a new kind of society." Whether the emerging political forces can fulfill this role remains to be seen, but the desire for fundamental change is unmistakable.
