Based on the General Port of Lake Morovia, the Somniant Stock Fund was established with the purpose of updating the military hardware used by the Bassaridian War League after decades of reliance upon technologies inherited from the Haifo-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union.

The Somniant Stock Fund was established in the mid 50.40s PSSC to address the growing need for modern military equipment within the Bassaridian War League. Prior to its creation, the War League had relied heavily on weaponry inherited from the Haifo-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union, much of which had originally been procured through trade agreements with allies of the now-defunct Union of States around the Sovereign Oceans (USSO). While these inherited systems provided a foundation for the Bassaridian military, allowing for the establishment and rapid expansion of Bassaridia Vaeringheim, they became increasingly outdated as global military technologies advanced.

Recognizing this limitation, the Somniant Stock Fund was tasked with designing and manufacturing innovative hardware tailored to the unique needs of the Bassaridian War League. The division's focus extended to a wide range of military assets, including advanced combat vehicles, naval systems, aerial platforms, and missile defense technologies.
