The Directorate of Reconnaissance and Intelligence (Cibolan-Saxon: Verwaltung für Aufklärung und Nachrichtendienst; VAN) is the military service of the Weisenburger Kriegstruppen, the armed forces of the United Principalities. It is responsible for providing the Armed Forces with intelligence on foreign nation's militaries. The service is presided over by Oberst Wolfgang Grohl.
Originally founded in 1725 AN as the Main Office for Military Reconnaissance (Cibolan-Saxon: Hauptamt für Militärische Aufklärung), it was reorganized in 1736 AN as the VAN.
